we had christmas with our meyer family today. the kids were pretty excited because santa showed up unexpectedly. the story behind this is dad only told me that he had this costume. so, he disappeared for a bit and everyone was asking where grandpa was because the kids were ready to open presents. santa made his grand appearance and gave everyone a fun suprise other than levi and jackson(who cried). dad was really excited to give this suprise the kids and mom as he is a big kid himself!

we enjoy watching max build. he has the mind of an engineer. he is great at figuring out directions and gets incredible satisfaction figuring out something new or challenging. max finds the most creative places to sit and you can't change his mind once he has it made up.

christmas break. these two have made me crack up today. jammies on all day. printing out pictures from the computer nonstop to color. laughing at the craziest things on tv. just doing the twin thing today. it's a great day.

the kids are getting very creative in their indoor play. love hearing their giggles and little talks of where they are going to hide or what they are coming up with next to do to keep them busy.

max gave us his present tonite. he was so proud of making it at school. he had to get our picture with it.

these two crack me up. i found max helping marlee brushing her teeth and talking with her how to do it right then watched him grab her toothbrush and do it for her. love these kids.

cutting down the christmas tree. this year we went back to our old place but were very sad that there were not many good trees to choose from. we searched through it all and came upon our short plumpy tree which brought smiles to everyone but naomi and marlee.

first big snow. this photo is the story of our backyard. max and noah building the pile of snow up to sled off the deck. marlee helping or copying anyone she can. naomi chillin' making angels in the snow. lovin' every minute of it.

pebble jars. we use pebbles to "pay" the kids for jobs done around the house and when their resposibilities are fulfilled. the kids can earn money or an experience as a reward when they get a certain number of pebbles. it took us a while to come up with a concept that would work with our family and so far this has paid off for several months so i think it will stick. it is fun to watch the kids count their pebbles and ask to do extra things when they get close to their reward.

thanksgiving dinner at grandma and grandpa collin's house. it was a beautiful sunny cold day. the kids love helping grandpa outside and he enjoys driving them around in the trailer.

it was finally cold enough that there was ice in the wheelbarrow. the boys found their "nerd" glasses and had a ball outside chipping away at the ice. somedays they really are awesome together.

happy thanksgiving. we celebrated at g&g callie's house along with great g&g, j&marty&cora.

i woke up to max reading to marlee on the couch. they are my early risers and two of a kind.

our church sponsored a fun bowling day today for the kids. it was fun taking noah, naomi, and max. the thing that suprised me the most was seeing max bowl left handed.

naomi and max had camping day at school today. they were so excited about the bear hunt, wearing pj's all day, having smores, and setting up their room like a big tent with sleeping bags all over. this is the best face naomi gave me. gotta love her.

levi crawls around with his head on the floor like a bulldozer until he hits something. it is a riot.

sick day for max! he read me the missing piece and some poems out of where the sidewalk ends. i really enjoy sick days.

the kids pulled out candy land. max is usually upset by someone doing something wrong, naomi tries to ignore all the drama, marlee tries to get her hands in the game which makes noah upset that it isn't being played right and getting messed up. always glad to see them having fun together.
