we had christmas with our meyer family today. the kids were pretty excited because santa showed up unexpectedly. the story behind this is dad only told me that he had this costume. so, he disappeared for a bit and everyone was asking where grandpa was because the kids were ready to open presents. santa made his grand appearance and gave everyone a fun suprise other than levi and jackson(who cried). dad was really excited to give this suprise the kids and mom as he is a big kid himself!

this dear sweet child of ours is relentless about getting what he wants. we had to put the toybox in front of all the tv equipment to stop him from pushing buttons. he outsmarted us and showed us his great climbing abilities. i think we have a little acrobat on our hands.

cutting down the christmas tree. this year we went back to our old place but were very sad that there were not many good trees to choose from. we searched through it all and came upon our short plumpy tree which brought smiles to everyone but naomi and marlee.

we started taking out the snowmen today and found a box from grandma zeb with a snowman for each of the kids. four out of the five made noise. levi wasn't sure what to think of them. he would just stare at them which gave us more laughs at levi than the snowmen:)

i went to g&g d's today to do their hair. marlee and levi were with me. marlee played really well with grandpa. levi screamed his head off in the playpen while i did grandpa's hair. i had to bring the stroller in and have him sit in their while i did grandma's hair. he was really happy when he got down and found grandma's cane. crazy day.

levi's "i give up" position lately. he will just plop himself on the floor and lay there. another little quirk that makes us all laugh.

levi decided he was going to start walking (more like running) today. he does best when he is hanging onto something big. what a joy to watch the little rascal!

the baracades are getting harder to restrain you from things. you are one determined little boy my dear levi. and you love the dvd player and the way you can push the buttons to make it go in and out.

levi started standing sunday nite. he took 2 steps yesterday. today i was finally able to capture him standing. awesome to watch!

naomi keeping levi occupied by playing drums on the shoe box. i love watching their relationships as siblings grow.

levi crawls around with his head on the floor like a bulldozer until he hits something. it is a riot.

oh my dear levi. the high chair worked for a while until you decided today that you would stand in it. so now i have place you in marlee's booster seat (which she is not happy about) but that is the only place i can keep you strapped in. so welcome to our very squished table for 7.

tonite we had all the cousins over. we had dinner then walked to the high school where they had indoor trick or treating. fun times.

levi found an apple on the floor and decided to help himself. sometimes we call him "chomp" because he bites us and everything else around him. it fits him well.

the kids spent a while racking up leaves into a big pile this afternoon so they could jump in them. levi freaked out and nobody wanted to sit still for a picture. can't blame them. it is too much fun to jump!
